“The squad for Saturday will be the same as for Loughborough and everyone came through New Year’s Day with no issues including Matt Thornhill who has been given the all clear which is great news for us all.
“Neil Baker's side had won all three Christmas games going into 2018 and it was the surprise result of the day on Monday to see them lose to Market Drayton. They will want to make amends so I am expecting a fired up Leek side and obviously a very tough game.
“Leek will be amongst the sides battling it out for promotion come the end of season. They have some good players like recent Stoke City loan signing Scott Wara, former Liverpool player Daniel Trickett-Smith and Rob Stevenson who has started to hit the back of the net recently along with the experienced Jordan Johnson and Sam Grimshaw.
“Our lads have continued the fine run of form but this is just the start and we have set new targets for January and we want to keep this run going.
“The Club of the Month award is brilliant for the club and to get two in a row is a fantastic achievement! However, we move on and the focus is on a very tough January with eight games in 28 days.
“We will need to manage the squad carefully and rotate where possible to keep everyone fit and sharp to help us kick on this year.”
When the sides met at Leek in October, a goal ten minutes before half time from Ash Grayson gave us a 1-0 win in a tight game. Saul Deeney made some important saves and Jerry Nash made an impressive debut.
