Trip to Buxton starts busy week

2 weeks ago By Neil McGowan

The First Team travel to Buxton on Tuesday (7.45) to kick off a busy week for Basford teams, with FA Cup and Youth Cup games on the agenda.

Martin Carruthers commented:
“We’ve had Buxton watched a couple of times, so we know pretty much what to expect, they are a good side and we will need to be on top of our game.

“If we adopt the approach to the game and put in the performance we did in the second half on Saturday we will be OK.”

Buxton have made a solid start to the season with two wins and two draws from their opening five games. Last Saturday they won 3-1 away at Mickleover Sports.
