Basford were first to show and James Reid drew a fine save from visiting keeper Joshua Turton.
In the visitor’s first attack they won a penalty, Dave Cockerill converting the 14th minute spot kick after Matt Thornhill was penalised for a foul.
As Basford responded Liam Hearn’s shot was deflected onto the post, then he headed
against the post.
Rob Duffy levelled on twenty three minutes, converting Ash Grayson’s low cross from six yards. Hearn again struck the woodwork after being put through by Duffy and then saw his shot saved by Turton.
Teversal looked dangerous when they attacked and Saul Deeney had to be alert to save a Kurtis Bamford free kick.
Basford took a 31st minute lead and Grayson was again the provider, Liam Hearn heading in his cross. The lively Grayson then shot against the bar two minutes from the break.
Basford dominated possession in the second period but found it difficult to break down a well drilled visiting defence.
Courey Grantham fired against the post and they finally had their reward three minutes from time, James Reid firing in a low shot from twenty yards.
Harry Wakefield twice went close, with shots hitting the side netting as the game moved into added time.
