Basford United went down 3-1 to Notts County on Tuesday night at Greenwich Avenue in front of an excellent crowd of 430.

In what was a good workout for both teams , two goals from Jon Stead, the first a penalty, and one from Dongda He in the first half put Notts in control.

Basford came more into the game in the second period and Liam Bateman pulled one back with a shot two minutes from time.
