Basford at Cleethorpes, CFC at Sandiacre

By Neil McGowan

Basford United First Team travel to Cleethorpes Town on Saturday and Community are away at Sandiacre Town (both 3.0).

Following the postponement of their midweek game at Lincoln, the First Team will be hoping to get back into action at Cleethorpes.

Martin Carruthers said:
“Cleethorpes are one of the best sides in the league and are pushing for promotion but have been hit by a hefty points deduction. This will make them even more determined to do well against us. They will be like a wounded animal, it is the worst possible time to play them.

“They are still capable of reaching the promotion play-offs and gave us a tough game earlier in the season and we expect the same on Saturday.

“Nothing less than 100% from our players will be good enough. We want to pick up the points that we need for our promotion push.”
